Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) The Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) Program went into effect on June 12, 2018, requiring the submission of advanced air cargo information on shipments arriving in the United States from a foreign location. Principles of ACAS operation and the alerts that the system can generate; and the correct procedures for both flight crew and controllers in response to ACAS alerts. Organization Structure

The ACES Northwest Network offers value at every level of involvement. We are supported by Members, recognized by Friends, and complemented by Partners.

Members
The core of our Network is our Members, who support us with annual membership contributions and benefit from collaboration organized through our various conference calls and web events. Members make the Seminar Series and Signature Events possible, ensure policy guidance activities occur with the greater good in mind, and receive insights from industry thought leaders as they pursue our cross-cutting agenda of innovations that will improve the quality of life for everyone on the globe.

Our 2021 Program includes new sponsorship opportunities, which will enable us to deliver one Seminar Series event every month in 2021 thanks to support from Premier Sponsors. The 2021 Signature Sponsor will headline our annual gala and enjoy exclusive meetings with the Network’s Leadership.

Friends
Friends of the Network receive invitations to and access to our events and benefit from the Mobility Minute, the Network’s regular newsletter. Friends who seek to contribute to the Network’s activities are welcome to advance to Patron status, which includes the opportunity to speak at the Signature Event.

Partners
The ACES message of safe and efficient transportation and energy is carried to communities and organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest through our Partners. This program for non-profit associations offers many of the benefits of ACES Membership with unique opportunities for collaboration on shared missions. ACES Leadership

Tom Alberg is Managing Director and co-founder of Madrona Venture Group. He is active on several portfolio company boards and has also served on the boards of numerous public and private companies. Tom is a director of Amazon, where he has served since before it went public in 1997. Tom serves on the technology industry boards TechNet Northwest and the Washington State Technology Alliance. He was formerly a member of the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is also on the Investment Committee of the Seattle Foundation and the Puget Sound Business Journal has ranked him number 12 of the 35 most influential business leaders in the Seattle area.

Bryan Mistele is the co-founder, President & CEO of INRIX, a leading provider of real-time transportation information, connected car services and analytics worldwide. INRIX is at the forefront of connecting cars to smarter cities in more than 60 countries around the world. The company leverages big data analytics to reduce the individual, economic and environmental toll of traffic congestion. Bryan has served as a member of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s National Transportation Policy Project, as a member of the United States Department of Transportation’s ITS Advisory Committee, and as a board member of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America. He currently serves on the board of the Discovery Institute, a leading think-tank in the Pacific Northwest. Bryan received my Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan (go Blue!) and an MBA from Harvard. Bryan previously worked for Ford Motor Company and Microsoft prior to starting INRIX.

Bruce Agnew is the Director of the ACES Northwest Network. As the Executive Director of the Cascadia Center, Mr. Agnew has helped transform mobility in Puget Sound while protecting the environment. He brings his extensive policy experience to the Network and has demonstrated leadership with the Beyond Oil conference series.

Scott O. Kuznicki, P.E., is the volunteer Programs Director for the ACES Northwest Network. Mr. Kuznicki is leads strategy and mobility technology integration at an executive level, drawing on deep experience as a transportation operations safety engineer working in human factors and technology. He is leading global efforts to improve the integration of transportation infrastructure, users, and energy systems with new technologies. Scott is the President of Modern Traffic Consultants, the CEO of Battery Renewal Systems, holds a fellowship with the Discovery Institute in Seattle, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
