The 2017 CTS received an overall rating of 4.1 out of a possible 5 from consumers who liked the addition of the new rear camera mirror along with the attractively revised grille. It also came loaded with Android Auto smartphone connectivity and Apple CarPlay. You could order your new model in a choice of either rear or all-wheel-drive. There were also CTS-V and V-Sport versions available for those who like a sportier aesthetic and enhanced performance. It maintained a decent MPG rating between 18-25 mpg which isn’ bad for a small luxury vehicle. With distinctive exterior styling and the same for the interior design with high-quality interior materials and a powerful high-tech engine, it was a winner. The only downsides to this model were the small trunk, poor rear visibility, tight headroom in the backseat and the need to learn the brand’s User Experience system.

9. 2006 Cadillac CTS Sport

The 2006 Sport edition was a 5 seat compact luxury car in a 4 door style that came standard with a 3.6-liter 255 horsepower V-6 gas engine mated with a 6-speed manual transmission w/OD, or an optional 5-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual in rear-wheel drive. It also came with power remote heated manual-folding side view mirrors with the option of adding tilt down. Convenience features include remote keyless entry, power rear windows, power cargo access remote release, keyfob trunk/hatch/door release, memory seats, steering-wheel-mounted AC controls, full floor console with covered box, auto-locking doors, day-night rearview mirror, emergency communication system, garage door transmitter, through Homelink, manual sunshade, audio memory, and more.

8. 2007 Cadillac CTS V

The 2007 CTS received an overall rating of 4.5 which was a tenth of a point higher than its predecessor. Drivers enjoyed its high-performance format with the extremely fast acceleration in the CTS-V edition. It also received high marks for the stability and the sporty steering feel. Drivers also appreciated the seat comfort as did passengers. It received a few upgrades over the previous model year.

The 2004 model of the CTS was given a score of 4.6 out of 5 for the powerful engine and performance as well as for its sharp styling both inside and out. It was a true compact luxury vehicle. This was the second year of production for the CTS and it was well-received by the public even though it was only available in one trim. The optional California CTS Luxury Package for an extra $1,800 was a good deal that came with the XM Satellite Radio Sound System feature, a Bose ETR AM/FM stereo and Electric Power Tilt-Sliding Sunroof with Express-Open. A second option was the California CTS Package for $1,770 including an 8-way power front passenger seat adjuster, a 3.6-liter V6 engine and an electronic 5-speed automatic transmission w/OD.

6. 2005 Cadillac CTS

The 2005 Cadillac CTS received the same high marks as the 2004 model for many of the same reasons. This year came with a wider array of choices with 2 trims available and 2 configurations. Drivers had the option of either a 210 horsepower 2.8-liter V6 engine or a 255 horsepower 3.6-liter V6.

The 2010 model offered the CTS Sport Wagon which was a popular option for families who enjoyed the luxury of a Cadillac in a smaller more compact size. Drivers liked the rich interior and fast acceleration. This was a powerful luxurious wagon with sport suspension for amazing handling and innovative infotainment features for its day.

The 2011 model received yet higher marks than its predecessor with an overall score of 4.7 out of a possible 5. For this model year, drivers had the option of a new super-powerful 556 horsepower supercharged V8 engine. It was a big hit with the public.

Coming in with an overall rating of 4.8, the 209 CTS was available in a choice of 2 trims and 4 configurations. Cadillac offered the vehicle in an AWD option with a choice of suspensions with available real-time traffic reports. Drivers could order a manual or automatic transmission and remote start. This model was also available in either a rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive.

The most recent release has been the 2019 Cadillac CTS. This is a member of the third generation of the model and it is available in a choice of 6 trims and 10 configurations. The engine choices range from a 2.0-liter Inline 4 offering 268 horsepower, a 3.6-liter V6 wtih 335 horsepower or a 3.6-liter V6 that cranks 420 horsepower. All were offered with 8-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto-manual. Like the 2015 edition, 2019 was also rated with a 4.9 out of 5 consumer score.
